Indigo Racing Team, established in 1997 by Hyundai Sungwoo, has played a vital role in developing Korea’s motorsport environment for over 20 years. The team is proudly supported by Solite Battery, one of Korea’s leading automotive and industrial battery companies and internationally-renowned OEM Hyundai Sungwoo. Solite Indigo Racing won both the teams’ and drivers’ titles - as well as helping Hyundai clinch the manufacturers’ crown - from the inaugural TCR Korea season, after their i30N TCR won three of the series’ six races. Their success in the national championship was repeated by Hyundai’s customers in WTCR. After winning nearly half of the races during the season i30N TCR customers secured both the drivers’ and teams’ titles from the WTCR season. Hyundai drivers also scored wins in TCR Europe and national series in Italy, Germany and the USA.
Like any i30 N TCR team, Indigo Racing Team will be able to call upon the support of the Customer Racing department. They will be able to request an experienced engineer to be on site, as well as rely on a swift spare parts supply to keep the cars at their peak performance throughout the year.
The 2019 TCR Asia Series begins at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on the weekend of April 5-7. A six-round calendar will take Oriola and the Hyundai i30 N TCR to venues in Korea and China, with the season finale scheduled for the Bangsaen Street Circuit in Thailand on September 1.
